Headman / Robi Insinna

Robi Insinna is a DJ, an artist and a producer.

His HEADMAN project has already released several 12"s, EPs and two albums "It Rough" (2001) and "On" (2006). Both albums received enormous response all around the world and achieved "album of the month" status in various magazines. Furthermore HEADMAN provided some highly regarded dancefloor classics over the last five years which were and still are played by prestigious DJs.

"On" already spawned the hit single "Roh" (featuring Stephen Dewaele from Soulwax on vocals), including a Playgroup-Remix. The second off-shot is "Mositure" with a Mustapha 3000 Remix and a Headman Club Remix. Consistently it already peaked in the UK DMC Dance Charts and it's promo video-clip is shown on music televisions. The third release off "On" is set to be "On & On" with a Simian Mobile Disco Remix and once again a Headman Club Mix. Since the album's intention is to be played at home, the Headman Club Mixes are revitalising these tunes for a place Robi Insinna is more than adept – the dancefloor. He spent almost the last twelve months on tour with Soulwax as their tour DJ and is on the go all over the world (from Canada to Australia etc.) as one of the figureheads of the new disco scene.

Furthermore HEADMAN is responsible for some of the most impressive remixes in the last few years. One of his first remixes – the remix for Seelenluft's "Manila" – got "Single of the Month" in the spring 2002 issue of Dazed And Confused and is featured on several compilations. In 2003 and 2004 HEADMAN was giving his remix blessings to anybody of distinction: Franz Ferdinand, Annie, Mylo, Radio 4, Roxy Music, Yello, Placebo etc.

Relish Records

The label "Relish Records" was founded mid 2001 by Robi Insinna. Most of the songs on the label are from Robis second project MANHEAD and several acts Robi has signed to the label. The biggest hit so far for RESLISH RECORDS was Manhead’s “Birth, School, Work, Death” with vocals by Christian Kreuz (Dakar & Grinser) – which was also licensed for Trevor Jackson’s OUTPUT imprint. 2005 saw the releases of the Italian EP (featuring Franz & Shape, Ajello and Nemesis), the Remix Italian Ep (including f.e. a Remix by Lindstrom) a 12” by The David Gilmour Girls from Netherland (“Crackhouse Warming Party”), a 12" by Liquid Liquid member Dennis Young, a MANHEAD EP and the acclaimed MANHEAD LP. 2006 will be the next phase for Relish Records: releases will include an exclusive EP featuring a new song by A Certain Ratio, Franz & Shape, The David Gilmour Girls and Don Cash from Canada. Followed by a label compilation mixed by Robi Insinna. And of course the long awaited album by Franz & Shape.

On top of everything else, Robi`s projects are extraordinary notably for their artwork: Each of his releases is designed by Robi himself, since he's also internationally respected as a painter and has been exhibiting all over Europe. For example the "On" album includes a 16 page booklet showing paintings representing every song on the CD.
